Rapturous – New Slipstream Fiction
Rapturous – New Slipstream Fiction. My latest short story has just been published by the illustrious editors at Literally Stories. Our story opens on a bright Easter Sunday. But what’s this? The Rapture is upon the world! Well, sort of. It’s a partial rapture anyway. There is also an unconventional love story, harmless zombies in period costume, and a great many embarrassed and tongue-tied religious leaders. Whether you choose Rom-Com, costumed undead, or apocalyptic day of semi-reckoning, it’s all here for your reading giggles.
What the Editor Hugh Cron has to say:
Hi Marco,
What really impresses me is that you have taken on two self-prompts and made a cracking fist of them. And lets be honest they have not been the easiest. I am so impressed by your imagination and ability to take these topics on.
There is a sweetness to this and the acceptance was quite clever due to how quiet the religious leaders were. To me they didn’t have a clue what was going on and for once didn’t make up what they wanted to be heard. I thought that part was very subtle but actually quite cutting.
