Pitstop at Perkin’s Gas & Goods – New Short Fiction from the bodacious folks at The Thieving Magpie. This story is my third with The Thieving Magpie. I am proud to be a return contributor to this fine literary ‘Zine.
Pitstop at Perkin’s Gas & Goods tells the tale of an old woman fleeing pressure to move into a nursing home. Instead of giving in to her daughter’s demands, she sets out on a road trip to a destination with a reputation for kindness.
Art has always been an act of reflection through creation. A mirror held up to the universe, seasoned, embellished or exaggerated with the heart and vision of the Artist… HOW DO THEY DO IT?! Where do these wonderful artists… hailing from Minnesota, Massachusetts and Myrtle Beach to Dublin and Vienna – get the grit and courage to keep creating when it seems like the world is on fire and everyone is running wild? How do they do it, and why do they do it?
When the world becomes insane, creating is the only sane thing to do.
My latest short story is a free read at The Thieving Magpie. Are you ready to read this great story? Sure you are! Mash the big button and *Poof!* Let’s get to it!

Friends and Neighbors, we’re all playing together in one sandbox, and our sandbox ain’t that big. Fellow Citizens of the World, this life can be hard even without greedy bullies messing it up for everyone else. We don’t need war-mongering sonsofbitches making it harder than it has to be. So I’m here to tell you, Vladimir Putin can kiss my story-scribbling ass.
