I am thrilled that Ligeia Magazine has published my newest short story “Triptych Américas.” This story is featured in the Summer 2020 Issue 04 of Ligeia and is the result of a collaboration with my esteemed friend, and Ace Photographer, James “Gus” Gilmore. Gus sent me three photo prompts and challenged me to write three vignettes to match the photos.
I decided to take the three images in the order they were sent to me. Beginning in California, the story sprawls down the Pacific Rim. The tale follows the images from a railroad town in the Sierra, down through sun-baked Mexico, to the mountains of Peru. Three stories chronicle one broken, scattered family, and how they came to be where they are.
I do hope you will give this story a read. I believe the images and text combine into a greater whole. You can read “Triptych Américas” and the rest of the Summer 2020 Issue 04 of Ligeia by clicking the big button below.
